Overview:
Influence is a power & a tool; through influence you get your ideas through, introduce the changes that need to take place, and make the difference that needs to happen.
As well, influence is a skill that has its tactics & strategies, & through this highly engaging, stimulating, & insightful simulation, your people will get the chance to explore & stretch their influencing skills in a safe & exciting learning environment.
Learning Outcomes:
By the end of this simulation participants will be better able to:
- Approach change management strategically
- Execute change management strategies by applying the right tactics
- Reduce resistance that accompanies change
- Drive momentum in the change process
- Implement the different influencing strategies smartly and effectively; the right strategy, in the right time, with the right person
- Manage power and social dynamics with tact and intelligence
Workshop Journey:
The workshop starts by a brief introduction, briefing attending participants on types and sources of influence. This brief introduction will be followed by 90 minutes of playing the simulation, and finally, the de-brief
The Simulation:
Through the simulation, in groups, participants will be playing the role of the newly appointed project manager at, Unisoft, a global software giant & a market leader in enterprise software.
Coming from a different background & being highly exposed to the market, participants (in the capacity of their role in the simulation), see the need to introduce a new innovative technology that they have solid background about, & for which the market will be heading in the upcoming phase. They realize that without the support of management & key players in the company, this essential transformation will not take its chance, thus this is their objective: influencing stakeholders strategically to bring their idea to life!
Social networks, power dynamics, timing versus action to be taken, influential & key persons, pop-ups, various actions that can be taken either internally or externally, all those are issues participants get to use and deal with, to get their way through to their objective.
The De-brief:
With lots of insights, key learning points, Aha-moments, & thrill, the de-brief will be to reinforce the learning experience. Points that will be covered include:

Workshop Duration: One Full Day
